
Glenn Kent is a fitness and health psychology specialist, motivating individuals and organizations through training, writing, and instruction. He grew up in central Pennsylvania and, over the years, he has developed ways of living that have optimized his health and motivated him to help others achieve their wellness goals. He has over ten years of experience in wellness, health care, fitness, nutrition, and psychology. Glenn is also a nationally certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise with expertise in functional training for rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance enhancement. Glenn earned his doctorate in health psychology from the University of Cincinnati, where he studied the relationship between optimism, pessimism and health. He is now assistant professor of psychology at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia. He enjoys the outdoors, reading, and has developed an affinity for the taste of dark chocolate. His decision to start Fitness Motive was based on a youthful perspective of healthy living tempered by an analytical, compassionate, and devoted adult mindset.
